Gaudí Foundation will be created through an agreement between the UB and the UPC

On the occasion of the Gaudí International Year, the University of Barcelona (UB) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting research and popularising Gaudí's work. The agreement reflects the interest that has been expressed by both universities and is represented by the Gaudí Royal Chair, located in the Pavilions of the Güell Estate, property of the UB and where the UPC is developing diverse activities. The agreement also envisages the creation of an Antoni Gaudí Foundation and the setting up of the Gaudí Workshop, a meeting place for researchers and those studying the work of the architect.
The Management Council, which will monitor and control the agreement, is formed by the rectors of the aforementioned universities, the directors of the Barcelona and El Vallès Higher Technical Schools of Architecture (UPC), the deans of the faculties of Geography and History and Fine Arts (UB) as well as the architect Joan Bassegoda.
