Logo for Gaudí Year 2002 Barcelona has been chosen

The designer Miquel Puig (Verges, 1966) won the international competition that the Barcelona Town Council held for the graphic image of the Gaudí International Year. Of the 147 proposals presented, the jury selected his design for its clarity and communicative effectiveness, and because he managed to express in one image the two references of the event: Gaudí and the year 2002. The logo features the date of 2002 combined with the “g” of Gaudí, the octagonal profile of the paving designed by the architect himself and the number “2”
