More than 90,000 people celebrated A Day with Gaudí

On Saturday 1st June, the museums and other venues of Barcelona which house activities related with Gaudí organised an open day. The success of the event surpassed all expectations attracting more than 20,000 people, some even queuing for some time to enter the architect's buildings in the city.

The day marked the peak of the Gaudí International Year and more than 90,000 people filled the streets to participate. The celebration Petits plaers (Small Pleasures) brought together 17,000 people in Güell Park between 6 pm and 9 pm. The suggestive artistry of ilotopie and the Association Marató de l'Espectacle packed the park with colour and all kind of performances. In addition, more than 3,000 people visited the Interpretation Centre, where it is possible to see the exhibition "Gaudí and Güell Park. Architecture and Nature".

In the evening, the Sagrada Família provided the framework for a magical and unrepeatable spectacular of light, music and fireworks. More than 60,000 people attended and discovered the extraordinary artistic creation conceived by the French company Groupe F.
