MTV Europe celebrates successfully its awards in Barcelona

MTV Europe Music Awards was celebrated on November 14 in the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, amongst some 13.000 attendees and an audience of one billion people.

The singer Eminem received three awards throughout the evening in which Enrique Iglesias, Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams and Whitney Houston performed, amongst others.

The stage was decorated with sinuous forms evoking the world of Gaudí, centred in a large screen which projected suggestive photographs, as one of the glassworks of the Batlló House. The logo of the event and other elements, such as singular three-dimensional bodies or merchandising products, have had as the identifying element the hexagonal profile of the paving stone designed by Gaudí in 1906 for the Batlló House, and that nowadays, manufactured by Escofet, covers the pavements of the Passeig de Gràcia.
