Gaudí and the Park Güell. Architecture and Nature

11.4.2002 - 31.03.2003
Center for Interpretation and Welcome to Park Güell

This exhibit seeks to explain the origin and the contents of Park Güell, one of the most important works created by Gaudí, paying special attention to the dialogue between architecture and nature. For this purpose, plans, models, photographs, and audiovisuals are shown that analyze the project of the park in detail and underline the various possible routes and the types of flora, fauna and stones characteristic of the site. Visitors are also offered informational material about the park (flyers, maps, bibliography and audio guides).
Also, the visit to the Center for Interpretation and Welcome to Park Güell allows, for the first time, entry to the inside of the concierge’s pavilion, to see its layout, the building systems used by Gaudí, as well as the numerous decorative elements that adorn this space.
