Welcome by Mariano Alonso Burón, Spanish General Consul to Washington, D.C.
Speech by Daniel Giralt-Miracle, Curator of the Gaudí International Year.
Inaugural lecture by Jordi Bonet Armengol, architect, Director and Co-ordinator of the work of the Sagrada Família: "21st Century Answers in the Construction of the Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Família". Exhibition of two original sketches from the Hotel for New York project and paintings on Gaudí's work by Jordi Climent.

Saturday, 23rd November
Hall of Exhibits, the Edward M. Crough Center for Architectural Studies of the School of Architecture and Planning, CUA.
Exhibition on Antoni Gaudí and his work (open until 10th December 2002) with information panels, paintings by Jordi Climent, photographs by Eliseu Oriol, scale model of the Sagrada Família, sculpture by Fina Arrufat and DVD screenings, among others.

Inauguration by Javier Rupérez Rubio, Spanish Ambassador to the EUA,.
Lecture: "The Essential Gaudí" by Jordi Bonet.
First round table: "The Study and Meaning of the Work of Antoni Gaudí", moderated by Richard Ortega Loosle. Communications by Christiane Crasemann Collins, Rosemary Gallich, Barbara Lash, Esther Raventós and Judith C. Rohner.
Second round table: "Gaudí, Architect and Architecture", moderated by Esther Raventós and Benet Meca Acosta. Communications by Mario Andruet, Eliseu Oriol Pagès and Teresa Martínez de Dalmases.
Closing lectures by Eliseu Oriol Pagès, Mª Jesús Alonso Gavela and Lluís Gueilburt.
Closing by Mariano Alonso Burón.
