Giralt
Pau
Giralt (Barcelona, 1951) trained in the Institut Politècnic
Salesià of Barcelona where he completed a degree, in 1974,
as technician of Graphic Arts. He started working as a
photographer in the studio of the brothers Jaume and Jordi
Blassi. At the same time, he worked in the Institut d'Art
Gràfic Filograf, with his father, Ricard Giralt Miracle,
and later in the graphic departments of the publishing
houses Salvat and Nauta. He studied general photography
at the CEI, advertising photography at the IDEP and new
graphic technologies at the Fundació Algueró in Barcelona.
He created and directed for seven years the photography
venue Piscolabis in Barcelona. Since the 80s, he has devoted
himself to professional photography, both portrait and
landscape and, in particular, to the reproduction of works
of arts and architecture. He has been conducting seminars
of printed media and graphic communication technology
for fifteen years in the Barcelona Escola Superior de
Relacions Públiques (UB) and in Girona (UDG). He has participated
in diverse collective exhibitions and has also had individual
exhibitions.
