Gaudí in Contemporary Decoration

1.6.2002 - 30.6.2002
Bd Ediciones de Diseño

Unlike the majority of pieces of Modernist furniture that went out of fashion, those designed by Gaudí remain as contemporary today as they were the first day. A rare virtue to which Bd Ediciones de Diseño calls attention in an homage to the master, inviting Óscar Tusquets, Lluís Clotet, Elías Torres, and Dani Freixas –four names in Catalan architecture– to create scenes (hence, the name “Scenes”) in which the furniture of Casa Calvet and Casa Batlló, thought of by Gaudí during the first years of the 20th century, share protagonism with currently-designed pieces.
