this Festival of Modernism, the Güell Colony will travel
back to 1900 in order to relive its origins. To do so, the
streets and people will be adapted in an effort to reproduce

Guided tours

constructional aspects of the architectural work performed
here by Antoni Gaudí.

Programme of concerts at the Gaudí Crypt in Güell
Colony
After
completion of the first phase of the restoration of the Güell
Colony Church, the building is fully open to the visitor.
Although the initial project (a church with two superimposed
naves) was not finished, the part constructed corresponding
to the crypt constitutes, in itself, one of the most important
and emblematic works of the architect.
Gaudí's
genius is not only related to his constructive capacity but
embraces all the functional aspects of the building. Thus,
of special interest are the extraordinary acoustics of the
church, as can be appreciated in the concerts which have been
held for some years. This year, within the framework of the
Gaudí International Year, a special programme of concerts
will take place.
