Museu d’Art Modern del MNAC

The MNAC houses a rich group of Modernist decorative art pieces, among which a notable number of works that formed a part of the interior decoration of the mezzanine floors of Casa Amatller, Lleó Morera, and Batlló, the works of Puig i Cadafalch, Domènech i Montaner, and Gaudí respectively, stand out.

Regarding Gaudí’s works specifically, the museum exhibits a grate designed by the architect for Casa Vicens (1883-1885), one of his first buildings, and a table and double sofa (1905-1907) with anatomical, undulated shapes, which decorated the dining room of Casa Batlló, along with some of the doors of the same building. One of the benches (1908-1914) from the chapel of the Güell Colony also forms a part of the collection.
